Free Groceries!

Tuesday I went grocery shopping for the first time in the two weeks since I had my daughter. My husband had been doing all the shopping for me, which was really nice except that it put us pretty far over on our grocery budget. He would come home with a few bags filled with cereals, cokes, frozen pizzas, etc and it would cost $80, and I can usually fill up the back of my car with groceries and spend around the same amount. I guess that is just the difference in the way we shop.

Tuesday my mom and my sister went with me to help, and it was so nice to have them...I don't know how I will ever do this by myself with a toddler and a new baby in tow! We made a two week menu and a grocery list to follow and took two baskets around the store. We ended up filling up both baskets and I was sure we were going to blow my entire grocery money for the month but my mom paid for one of the baskets of groceries as a surprise, and it was the one that had more in it. My total cost was $112.01 for two weeks worth of food for five people!
