Yesterday I went to pick my parents up from the airport, they are here visiting this week. I put my airport parking ticket in the side pocket of my bag along with my cell phone (I don't know why...I always leave the ticket in my car). While we were waiting for them to arrive I pulled out my cell phone several times to make sure they hadn't tried to call, and one of those times the ticket came out with it and I had no clue. When we got in the car I went to get my ticket out of my bag so that I would be ready when I got to the gate...I couldn't find it anywhere. We searched my bag, the car...nothing. I figured it must have fallen out somewhere so I went ahead to the gate and had to pay a $27 fine for losing my ticket. I had only been there 30 minutes so I would've only had to pay $2! My dad took pity on me and ended up paying the fine for me.
After we left the parking lot I decided to drive back around to the curbside and run in to check where we had been sitting. My ticket was sitting in my seat in the airport waiting area! Now I just have to mail it in with a form and my receipt for the $27 fine and they should reimburse me (or my dad) $25. Thank goodness! I don't usually lose stuff and I was feeling pretty bad that a stupid thing like that cost so much.

The important thing is that you found it. I don't know how many times I lose out on money because I don't check something. Especially my receipts at the store!
You know what? The other day I went to fill out a rebate form for a 6-pack of PediaSure I had bought, and realized that the UPC had been thrown out. I lost out on a refund of $11.00! I never would have bought that if I hadn't had that rebate coupon, and then I didn't even get to use it. UGH!
