Phone Upgrade Today!

On our cell phone plan we get a phone upgrade every 18 months, and today was my day to upgrade. I have been counting down the days for just about a year now because right after I got my phone upgrade last time I accidentally dropped the thing in a glass of water. The phone still worked after we dried it out but the back-light didn't which meant I couldn't see anything on my screen. I couldn't see who was calling, text messages, or any of my menu options including my contact list. We didn't purchase insurance on the phone which meant I either had to buy a new one at full retail price, buy a used one online, or make due with what I had. I decided to do the latter and I got used to it, although it was very inconvenient at times.

Today I picked out the better looking of the two free phones that were available (with a 24 month contract, and I did have to pay sales tax of $14.98), because to me a phone is a phone and as long as it works and isn't terribly ugly I am fine with it. None of those fancy touch screen phones that cost hundreds of dollars for me, thank you. I am just so happy to have a phone that is fully functioning at this point!
