The $12 a day was just an experiment I started two years ago and I've kept up the idea of it for my blog. Honestly almost everything I purchase goes into my $12 a day spending so it's pretty easy to see how much I spend on average each day. It's also not as ridiculous as it may seem to purchase groceries regularly. I work in a super market and I buy groceries often on my last break. When I only pick up a few things I can speed through the check out and I can get whats essential for a day or so.

As far as hubby is concerned he is very much and impulse spender but he is honestly getting better. little by little we working on this whole journey together.rivulethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11352395562904461909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375475720350356941.post-19962101713582658442013-12-09T00:15:24.274-05:002013-12-09T00:15:24.274-05:00Hope your son feels better. My husband & I are wildly different people when it comes to finances. I've learned different strategies for working through our differences, respecting what he needs, & still keeping the budget moving in the right direction. 2) have you considered creating monthly spending categories, rather than the dollars/day thing? Is that easier? It seems like it might give you more flexibility at the monthly level, as it won't matter if you stock up on your groceries all at once, or day by day. . .

Anyway, wishing you lots of luck!Hawaii Plannerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04760426766801381563noreply@blogger.com
