My mom doesn't have much stuff that makes me think of her... strange childhood I guess. The Nancy Drew collection sounds really neat; good thought leaving that to your daughter. My brothers would both sell something like that as well :) rivulethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11352395562904461909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375475720350356941.post-52537647982294574252015-02-02T16:46:03.179-05:002015-02-02T16:46:03.179-05:00Thank-youThank-yourivulethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11352395562904461909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375475720350356941.post-69206612233228409652015-02-02T16:45:52.890-05:002015-02-02T16:45:52.890-05:00Thank-you. I think growing up in a home where everything and anything was so easily damaged, ruined, and discarded I secretly fear putting valuable things out, like this glass jar. Thus I hadn't actually thought to even have it out. Good idea!rivulethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11352395562904461909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375475720350356941.post-26673743948935300282015-02-02T16:43:26.136-05:002015-02-02T16:43:26.136-05:00I like that, "a sweet keeper of stories."...I like that, "a sweet keeper of stories." I think my happiest childhood memories were with them. I'm glad to have those memories!rivulethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11352395562904461909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375475720350356941.post-82999667479013634882015-02-02T15:48:08.206-05:002015-02-02T15:48:08.206-05:00How wonderful to have things with such memories!!!...How wonderful to have things with such memories!!! I hope my kids have those same memories of some of the things in our home. I told my kids when I'm gone the only thing I really care about them taking care of are my cats (live ones) and I collect original Nancy Drew books and I want my daughter to take those because I am pretty sure my son would put them on ebay :) Other than that, they can duke it out over everything else or drop it off at Goodwill....up to them.

I think my daughter will be more sentimental than my son but I guess at that point I won't really care :) I just hope there is something that means as much to them as the honey pot does to you!

Sue :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375475720350356941.post-4319719254411398072015-02-02T12:25:25.638-05:002015-02-02T12:25:25.638-05:00So lovely!!So lovely!!Pieliekamaishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15706413342474838387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375475720350356941.post-32315584287085134722015-02-02T10:01:24.077-05:002015-02-02T10:01:24.077-05:00What a sweet post! I am so glad that you have those special memories of your grandparents and your time with them. Maybe you could display it somewhere. I have a nice little soup crock that a relative gave me many years ago and I had never used it, but I loved it. I decided one day that, although I didn't use it for the purpose it was meant for, I would put it out on the table to display. Somewhere along the way this became our sugar bowl. I just refill it when it gets low and I enjoy the delight it brings to me to have it displayed and used.Dawn- Blessed Beyond Measurehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18380049127079259624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5375475720350356941.post-73586860772598664002015-02-02T07:42:29.420-05:002015-02-02T07:42:29.420-05:00Ah, the things that take us back! Think of new memories for your kids and grandkids being made while hearing you tell what your memories. It is a sweet keeper of stories.SAMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16485146123969622896noreply@blogger.com
