This month has been summer at it's finest.
Sunshine never ending.
Lots of beach time, barbecues, outside fun, water fun, ice cream, and warmth all day. Friends from all over the world have come home recently and there's been tons and tons of visiting. Just this past week we've had the immense privilege to visit with childhood friends who've moved to Oklahoma, Arkansas, Montana, and New Zealand; I mean what are the chances they'd all be home at the same time!?!? It's been so heartwarming to watch our children playing together.
The harsh, cold, dark month of February is at the top of my list for months of the year that drive me insane. But if someone can figure out how to bottle a little of July please let me know. This month has been nonstop busy and perfect!
Summers are so fabulous! And, the last picture of Abe. Oh my goodness - the best. Capturing summer perfectly!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember enjoying summer this much when I was a kid. Between gardening, trying to make the most of the sun (mostly because the past few winters have been so harsh that I'm trying to soak up all the sun I can get when it's here) and watching little Abe enjoy all that summer has to offer we've been having a blast!
DeleteSo glad you are having a perfect summer! And he is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteThank-you! It's so great too how we haven't had to put a bunch of extra effort in or spend a bunch of money to enjoy it. This summer has just been great for what it is.
DeleteHey, Rivulet, that all looks lovely but you know what the best bit on your blog is today? Your goal for July. Love it!
ReplyDeleteYou know I had to go look at what I posted. I remembered that I quickly posted one goal on the side bar at the beginning of the month but I couldn't remember what it was. Mission accomplished I'd say :)
DeleteHere's hoping that August is as great as July!
ReplyDeleteHow's the new job going?
August is usually a pretty great month so I think we're on a role!
DeleteThe new job is going great. I LOVE working three days a week instead of five (even though it's a longer shift) and I really like the job. Thanks for asking!
