Deep Sigh

I survived the week.
I don't think I have a tear left to cry.
Thus I declare, "let the weekend of therapy now begin!"

Starting with stove top hot chocolate, fresh whipped cream and Christmas sprinkles, of course. Accompanied by Bing Crosby's "White Christmas."

There shall be no bedtimes, no rules (well maybe a few), no chores, no check lists/ no to-dos, no cleaning (okay, I will run the dishwasher and pick up the living room). We will snuggle the pups with all our might and I hope to venture out nowhere, absolutely nowhere!

(Apparently I've never seen "White Christmas" before. I adore older movies like this one. I thought I'd seen it. Shame on me. I've watched probably a third of it now (while the kiddo was sleeping/ had to take an intermission to make dinner) and I'm in love, absolutely in love. This particular clip caused me to laugh more than I have in a very long time.)

    1. Oh my goodness it was so wonderful! It lived up to it's reputation for sure. I needed that.

  2. I am sorry about your kitty. I have watched White Christmas more times than I can count. The past two years our local theater has shown the movie on the big screen, it was great. Cheryl

    1. It was so great. I'm so glad I'd finally watched it! I think I'll watch it at least two more times before the Christmas season is through.

  3. You know, I don't think I've ever seen it either - guess I better check Netflix :) I also ADORE old movies - especially from the 40's & 50's they are so much more interesting (to me) than the new ones coming out that are all CGI. Glad you are feeling better!!!

  4. Look after yourself, lassie! I thought you had Thanksgiving first but maybe that's a rule to be broken too.

    1. Thanksgiving first is a funny struggle in our part of the world. Most people wait to put up Christmas decorations till after Thanksgiving. Of course Christmas is in all the stores now. The last few years I wasn't ready for Christmas festivities to begin until after Thanksgiving but this year, nope. Little Abe and I have been decorating Christmas trees on the computer (as you know), we've already checked out Christmas books from the library, and we've listened to Christmas music twice. This fabulous Christmas movie was just what I needed too.

  5. Christmas cheer and hot cocoa are good to heal the soul.

Losing a kitty is always hard. I lost one in June 2015 after 13 years of joy and snuggles. I still cry once in a while. Hang in there and remember : Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister....

    1. Oh Thank-you! My little girl was 13 as well. I know that's a good long life for a kitty but I always imagined she'd live so much longer. Sigh. Sending hugs your way. They are such important parts of our families.

That last part caught me off guard and made me laugh a lot once more!
