Jam or Jelly

The age old question: is it jam or jelly?

Or I guess if you live over the pond, what's jelly?

    I followed the link. Another example of two nations divided by a single language - what you call canning we call bottling.

      And I've never heard canning refereed to as bottling before. The only bottling I know of in the US is done by pop companies and breweries. They all "bottle" their beverages.
