The Plan

I bought groceries first thing this morning before I'd had my coffee. In fact I'd planned to get a cup of Joe from the Starbucks in the grocery store before shopping. It was going to be a little treat for having done so well so far this month. And I actually put my foot down and said, "No, you can wait until you get home! You have perfectly good coffee there AND creamer and it costs about $4 less than your little treat would."

I purchased everything I will need for my little family Thanksgiving dinner. The turkey was $10 off so I spent $13.22 on a fourteen pound bird. I believe I have everything I need to make the two pumpkin cheesecakes for the two family Thanksgiving gatherings we'll be going too. I also have food for eight dinners: quiche, chicken hamburgers or meatloaf, grilled cheese sandwiches, at least 2 or 3 meals of thanksgiving dinner leftovers, eggs and potatoes, and another weird homemade pizza. I could probably get creative for a few more meals too. I honestly think, even though it's going to be a serious challenge, that I can get 17 of my 18 no spend days this month. And I'm pretty sure I'll come in under $12 a day.

The Plan
Saturday NO SPEND 12
Sunday NO SPEND 13
Monday NO SPEND 14
Tuesday NO SPEND 15
Wednesday grocery shopping (minimal)
Thursday NO SPEND 16
Friday NO SPEND 17
I'm planning to shop Saturday so boo, that would be 18

That's the plan. I'm pretty horrible at plans. Wish me luck!

Average daily spending for November: $11.88
(counting the next FOUR days as no spends in the above average)

Number of days in a row
Not buying food at work: 10
Not making large unnecessary purchases or luxury purchases: 10
Since we last ate out: ? It should be 12 but hubby brought home tacos tonight. I am not including it in my budget because it was totally on him and he's not ruining my budget. That is not fair. There was no fight. But no, those darn tacos at his expense are not going to ruin me. I'm taking it out of his lunch money BUT technically we did eat take out?
And I'm at 11 out of 18 NO SPEND days so far this month
